Being a BRIDGE in uncertain times

Being a BRIDGE in uncertain times

I now understand that I can be the BRIDGE. I can work a very three dimensional job, and still hear my Soul’s Voice. I can meet the financial obligations I created for myself, AND do so with a loving and grateful heart. I can have a small percentage of what I thought I SHOULD HAVE by now in my life, and be beyond grateful for the very next breath I have, because truly, that is all any of us have.

I am a Wayshower.

I am a Wayshower.

The vision fades and my Spirit Guides remind me of my “Job”. I'm here to light the way. Period. How you, the reader, decide to practice in this lifetime is entirely up to you - the message, the modality, the words, the symbols, and the tools that you choose are not of my concern.

This is YOUR ship to drive. Just stay in the light, and you too will find your way.

And me? Once again I am reminded why I don’t quit. Why I don’t just throw in the towel and choose an easier more single-focused way.

I know my job. Just keep the light on Laurie. Burn Bright. Don’t Dim your light, no matter what. Don’t shroud your light out of fear of being judged, singled out, told that you are TOO MUCH or NOT ENOUGH. No, none of that matters. Just keep the light burning brightly so others will find their way to the path.

The Universe is Calling - Are You Listening?

The Universe is Calling - Are You Listening?

One day, during a very somber time in my life, I came across a book that changed me forever. Once I read this book, everything I thought I knew about the world, and my relationships changed. In fact, the Universe knew I needed an adjustment, so to get my attention, it conveniently hit me over the head with the answers. How you might ask? Well…

Learn about the ROOT Chakra

Learn about the ROOT Chakra

The root chakra is also known as the base chakra, first chakra, or in Sanskrit, the Muladhara, which means root support. The root chakra symbols can be seen as four red petals, a downward pointing triangle, Shiva Lingam, a white elephant, and are even represented by the eastern deities named Brahma and Dakini. It appears as the color red and can be thought to represent the color of the Earth’s core which is lava. Red has the longest wavelength and the slowest vibration (lowest frequency). Its sound is O as in hope. We see its strength through some of our strongest land animals; the elephant, the ox, and the bull.

Learn about the Sacral Chakra

The Sacral is our energy center where our personal passion for life is stored. In this center, all of our relationships, external to ourselves, are expressed. It's in this Chakra that all the passion a person has for life originates; passion for their career, their interests, the roles they play in life (mother, daughter, sister, friend, lover, employee, etc..), and the interpretation of love they receive from others - platonic or romantic.

This is the center where we experience balance or imbalance in sexual relationships, in how we express and receive love for our children or others, or in how we experience and express ourselves in our hobbies, interests, and career.

The Solar Plexus Chakra

The third chakra known as the Solar Plexus or in Sanskrit, Manipura (jeweled city, shining gem), projects your will and drive. It can sometimes show up as the spark that pushes you to reach the next level of something. It can also manifest as the sinking feeling in your gut when you make a “mistake”, tell a lie, or give away your right to choose or decide something for yourself..

The Solar Plexus is the home to your inner fire, your personal power, it represents your alignment with what your inner self knows is for your highest good. It is also where your ego lives.

  • How well do you know yourself?

  • How bad do you want something?

  • Can you discern between standing in your power and giving in to the EGO’s agenda?

The Solar Plexus is a vital source of power for all humans. It’s in this energy center that you will find your get up and go and drive to keep going or depending on the health of this power center, you may well be left with little or no incentive to do anything. You can feel on fire with and experience endless energy or be exhausted with digestion problems.

Relationships Are About Balance

Relationships Are About Balance

At the temple of Delphi, the ancient Greeks proclaimed, “Know thyself and nothing in excess,” two very wise statements that can help us all today. As we move forward into 2011 and on to 2012, the key theme is BALANCE — balancing work and play, saving and spending, moving forward or staying put, staying flexible while maintaining stability. Yes, we all have choices to make constantly. We are all in a state of flux, growing and changing as we become more of who we inherently are. We are all in this together, and we have to learn to balance the “opposites” with our significant others.
