Love, Trust, and Transformation

When you first meet someone, they trigger everything magical within you. That’s how the early stages of love begin.

Should you be brave enough to reveal the real you, then this new love… if it’s real love, will trigger the bullshit within you that needs to resolve and heal.

This is the time when lovers run. I know, I’ve run.

Girl in the mirror, self-love, healing

After I ran from one relationship, I tried something new. Instead of running into the arms of another person; and (let’s be honest) using that other person to anesthetize, and to faux heal, I sat in front of my personal mirror and got real with myself.

It took several months of doing the work, to make changes in myself and my life. Not for a second was this easy. I felt like I experienced a series of third-degree burns.

That said, I sit here today as the best version of myself to date because I didn’t run from myself. And really, that's what many of us are doing; we are running from ourselves, over and over again, with the “hope” that the next person we meet, will diminish the bullshit within us.

Spoiler alert, it doesn't work that way.

The person who draws the bullshit to the surface, is most often your person, the person you are supposed to be with. If they are the one to ignite the change in you, the change which will lead you through your transformation… shouldn’t they be one the reap the benefits after the work is done?

Stop running.

Look into the eyes of the one you love and be real.

Look into your eyes and be real.

Because the reality is, if it is real love, there will always be work that needs to be done. That's love.

❤️Love induces change.

❤️Love induces transformation.

P.S. Love comes in parts; the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. Healthy love begins with self-love. Healthy love can only exist, if you and your partner are both madly in love with the lives you live and yourself, before meeting one another. If your self-love is wavering, if you're living a life you want to take a vacation from, or run from, find me.

Cultivating self-love is what I do.

We got this.

Remember, we’re all in this together.
